Entertainment » OtherPosted at: Jan 30 2016 6:45PM KKNPP Unit 1 resumes power generationTirunelveli, Jan 30 (UNI) The 1000 MW Unit 1 of Kudankulam Nuclear Power Project (KKNPP) today commenced power production after being shut down for several months for annual maintenance. Official sources here said the power production commenced at 07.12 AM and initially 80 Mega Watt of power was produced. The power production would be gradually increased to its maximum capacity of 1,000 Mega Watts soon. The technocrats are currently engaged in the process of connecting the unit with the grid.
