Kishan Reddy urges Telangana CM to allot land for setting up of NCDC by Centre

Hyderabad, Jan 25 (UNI) Union Minister of State for Home Affairs G Kishan Reddy has urged Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao to allot land for the setting up of a National Center for Disease Control (NCDC by the Central Government in the state.
In a letter, addressed to the Chief Minister, copy of which was released to the media here on Monday, Mr Reddy said that the central government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi has taken a number of steps across the country for the medical field, especially for medical research.
As part of this, the state government has been informed about the proposal to start a NCDC) (formerly National Institute of Communicable Diseases) in Hyderabad in 2019. The central government has also allocated the required funds for it.
