Kishan Reddy expresses gratitude to PM Modi for flagging off Kacheguda-Yesvantpur Vande Bharat

Hyderabad, Sep 24 (UNI) Union Minister Kishan Reddy on Sunday expressed his gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for virtually flagging off the Kacheguda-Yesvantapur Vande Bharat Train.
Reddy, also the BJP Telangana Unit President ,attended the inauguration ceremony at Kachiguda Railway Station here.
He said, "Commencing the third Vande Bharat train routes from Hyderabad is a monumental achievement. On behalf of thepeople in Telangana, I extend my special thanks to Modi and the Ministry of Railways for bringing these remarkable rail services to our region."
Highlighting the importance of this new train route, he said, "This train departing from Kachiguda will traverse three states and connect a total of 12 districts, facilitating seamless travel for passengers. It notably links the two IT hubs of Hyderabad and Bangalore, enabling same-day round trips."
The Minister also underlined the Prime Minister's commitment to the development of railways in Telangana.
He said Narendra Modi is scheduled to visit Telangana on October 1 and 3, during which the foundation stones for various railway projects will be laid.
"In the past nine-and-a-half years since Modi assumed office, construction of 55 kilometers of railway lines has taken place," Kishan Reddy added. He acknowledged the need for expanding Telangana's railway network and applauded Prime Minister Modi for allocating a substantial railway budget of Rs. 4,418 crore to the state this year, comparing it to the meager Rs. 258 crore allocated during the UPA period in 2014.
The BJP State President also highlighted the ongoing railway works worth Rs 31,000 crore in Telangana, including modernization projects for several railway stations, such as Secunderabad and Nampally. He expressed optimism about the future development of Kacheguda and Cherlapally Railway stations and the construction of a new terminal in Cherlapally worth Rs 221 crore.
"The Rail Manufacturing Unit in Kazipet is progressing rapidly, with wagon manufacturing already underway," he stated, indicating the government's commitment to boost rail infrastructure in the region.
Kishan Reddy highlighted the unique effort of the central government to conduct a comprehensive survey for new railway lines in Telangana, adding, the importance of utilizing railway services, and the transformative potential of regional road development, particularly the upcoming Regional Ring Road (RRR).
"If the RRR becomes a reality, it will enhance connectivity and provide affordable land to the underprivileged along the road. It's a dream come true for those seeking land ownership," he concluded, expressing his gratitude to the dedicated railway department officials working tirelessly to make these developments possible.
