Kingpin Drug peddler arrested by Sikkim Police after midnight

Gangtok, Mar 28 (UNI) Sikkim Police from Sadar Thana was successful in arresting a Drug Peddler at midnight while he was moving towards his destination. According to Police, ‘Suraj Pradhan alias Salman was intercepted in a moving car near Luing garden, Reshithang,around 00.30 hours. During the search at 0.33 early on Tuesday, commercial quantity of contraband substances, including Brown Sugar, Cough Syrup, Tablets and Capsules were seized.
"Suraj has been booked under the Sikkim Anti Drugs Act (SADA) and Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act (NDPS) cases in the past. He has been in the business of Drug peddling, in huge quantities for two decades. Despite several arrests, he is let out on bail by the Courts. The accused was under the radar of Sadar Police team for past four months, also managing to escape before he could be apprehended," added the Police.
