KIA gearing up for resumption of Int'l flights from July 15

Bengaluru, July 1 (UNI) Gearing up for the resumption of international flights post-July 15, the Kempegowda International Airport (KIA) has seen a marginal rise in domestic passengers ever since operations resumed on May 25.
Arrivals and departures combined, KIA now processes 13,000 daily passengers.
Currently, KIA handles an average of 140 flights daily, arrivals and departures included.

COVID-19: Tamil Nadu reports 2,869 new cases, 31 fatalities

Chennai, Oct 25 (UNI) The cumulative tally of coronavirus positive cases reached 7,09,005 in Tamil Nadu on Sunday, after the State registered 2,869 fresh cases while the death toll mounted to 10,924 with 31 more fatalities.

Bengaluru, Oct 25 (UNI) Day after inspecting the rain havoc affected areas in the city, Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yeddiyurappa on Sunday assured suitable compensation to people suffered since last few days in the city
Speaking to media before flying to Shivamogga, he said the already sanctioned Rs 25,000 for family members affected due to rain and for others suitable compensation will be provided.
