New Delhi, Feb 3 (UNI) Asian cadet wrestling champion Arshad’s story of resilience and inspiration echoes loudly in the KD Jadhav Stadium the inaugural Khelo India School Games are taking place.
Hailing from Uttar Pradesh which has produced wrestlers by the dozen, his journey to get the better of his peers with limited resources and exposure is exemplary.
As is the case with most of his contingent, Arshad hails from an under-privileged background and took up sport at a very early age. One of the four grappler sons of a milkman and a housewife, Arshad has battled odds to reach the level he is now in.
