Khattar urges people to follow teachings of Baba Banda Singh Bhadur

Chandigarh, Sep 15 (UNI) Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar on Saturday made a clarion call to the people to propagate the teachings of great martyr Baba Banda Singh Bahadur, so that the future generations could take inspiration from his life.
Speaking at Dera Baba Banda Singh Bahadur in district Reasi of Jammu and Kashmir, Mr Khattar said ''After the formation of present government in Haryana, we have taken several steps in this direction.''
Earlier, he paid floral tributes to Baba Banda Singh Bahadur and paid obeisance at Gurudwara, situated in the Dera.

Itanagar, Mar 29 (UNI) In a repeat of previous poll outcomes, the hilly Northeastern state of Arunachal Pradesh is ‘set’ to witness seven candidates from ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), including Chief Minister Pema Khandu, getting elected 'unopposed' to the 11th Legislative Assembly of Arunachal Pradesh, 'without a contest'.
After ‘complete’ scrutiny of nominations filed for all 60 Assembly Constituencies, including the ‘adjourned’ scrutiny of papers done for Itanagar and Daporijo seats today, altogether seven validly nominated BJP candidates were found to be opponent free, and they are likely to be declared elected unopposed on Saturday after the last date of withdrawal of candidature, Joint Chief Electoral Officer Liken Koyu said.
