Khattar urges Naqvi to make necessary amendments in Wakf Act, lease rules

Chandigarh, Aug 22 (UNI) Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar today urged Union Minister of State for Minority Affairs Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi to make necessary amendments in Wakf Act and lease rules.
Mr Khattar also put forth various demands for the welfare of minority community in a meeting held with the Union Minister in New Delhi.
The Chief Minister urged the Union Minister that the amendments made after the year 2014 in Wakf Act and Lease Rules has rendered its various Rules illogical and unjustifiable due to which lease holders of Wakf properties were facing many difficulties. The representatives of various lease holders have requested for re-amendments in these rules and the Ministry concerned was earlier apprised about these demands of the Leaseholders.
