Khattar greets people on Sri Krishna Janmashtami

Chandigarh, Aug 2 (UNI) Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar on Thursday greeted the people of the state on the auspicious occasion of Sri Krishna Janmashtami.
In a message issued here today on the eve of Janmashtami, the Chief Minister said that this sacred festival gives people an opportunity to remember the teachings of Lord Shri Krishna and to strengthen the spirit of universal brotherhood and peace.
Describing the holy message of Srimad Bhagavad Gita, given by Lord Shri Krishna in the battlefield of Kurukshetra, as a great contribution to humanity, he said that this Holy Scripture, Gita is a philosophical tradition and an inspiration for all humanity.
The teachings and philosophy of Lord Shri Krishna are relevant even today, he added.
