Khattar directs officers of Irrigation Dept to identity inundated areas

Chandigarh, Dec 2 (UNI) Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar has directed the officers of Irrigation Department to identify inundated areas under agricultural land in the state.
In order to develop various schemes to deal with the problems of water logging during heavy rains, the Chief Minister also instructed the concerned officers to prepare district-wise maps.
In addition to this, he directed the officials to prepare a plan to recharge the water in such water logging areas. He also asked to develop lakes and ponds to promote fisheries and tourism in the state.

Chandigarh, Jan 23 (UNI) Punjab Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh has announced a hike from Rs 31,000 to Rs 51,000 in the Shagun amount for the marriage of daughters of construction workers in Punjab from April 1, 2021, while also approving Rs 1500 in financial aid to such workers or their family members who test positive for Covid.
