Khattar approves creation of 14 new blocks

Chandigarh, Oct 18 (UNI) Accepting the recommendation of Re-organisation Committee, headed by Agriculture Minister O P Dhankar, Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar today approved in-principle for creation of 14 new blocks in the state.
Addressing a press conference shortly after the meeting of the State Cabinet here, Mr Dhankar said with this decision, the number of blocks in the state increased to 140 from 126.
The new blocks set to be created included Dadri in Bhiwani, Ujhina in Jind, Badli in Jhajjar, Munak and Kunjpura in Karnal, Pipli in Kurukshetra, Indri and Pinagawa in Mewat, Badoli in Palwal, Dahina in Rewari, Khijrabad in Yamunanagar, Nagpur in Fatehabad, Dhand in Kaithal and Tigaon in Faridabad, he added.
Apart from this, he said, the headquarters of two blocks from Dadri-I to Bond and Dadri-II to Jhojhu would also be shifted.
