Khattar announces Rs 2.5 cr each to both players of Haryana in Hockey team

Chandigarh, Aug 5 (UNI) Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar on Thursday announced a job of Senior Coach (Group B) along with a reward of Rs 2.5 crore each to both the players of Haryana in the men’s hockey team which won the bronze medal in the Olympics.
Along with this, plots of Haryana Shehri Vikas Pradhikaran will be provided to both of them at concessional rates, the Chief further announced while interacting with the media persons after the Haryana Cabinet meeting on Thursday.
Congratulating the people of the state and the country on the victory of the men's hockey team, Mr Khattar said that after 41 years, hockey team has created history and made the country proud by winning bronze medal in Olympics and it is a matter of great pride for us that this team includes two players from Haryana who have performed brilliantly during the entire competition.
During the interaction with the media, he informed that in a decision taken during the cabinet meeting now farmers will not have to pay full stamp duty for exchange of land. A proposal has been passed in the cabinet that farmers will be able to exchange land in the same revenue estate by paying a stamp duty of Rs 5,000 only.
Mr Khattar said that in many cases, farmers who are compelled to sell their land at throwaway prices, will be able to sell their land to the government. This land will be used for government projects. He said that sometimes it becomes difficult to get land for good projects, keeping this in mind, it has been decided to form a land bank. In this, the farmer can propose to sell the land to the government.
He informed that the government has decided to include guest teachers in the transfer policy in the cabinet meeting. He said that first the transfer drive of regular teachers will be conducted, after that guest teachers will be able to participate in the second phase of transfer drive. He said that guest teachers had been demanding to be included in the transfer policy for a long time.
He said that teachers with disabilities will get special exemption in transfer drive. Apart from this, People with Disabilities appointed as clerical assistant and lab attendant will also get exemption in this policy. They will be given relaxation on the basis of percentage of disability during transfer drive.
Mr Khattar said that in the meeting of the Cabinet, approval was given for the formation of Human Resources Department. This department will look after the arrangements for transfer, recruitment, service rules etc. of the employees. The department has been constituted under the Chief Secretary.
He said that the need for this department has been felt for a long time. Now with the formation of this department, decisions regarding the employees will be taken uniformly.
