Khattar administers oath to newly appointed HERC Chairman D S Dhesi

Chandigarh, Aug 14 (UNI) Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar administered the ‘oath of office and secrecy’ to retired IAS officer and newly appointed Haryana Electricity Regulatory Commission (HERC) Chairman Depinder Singh Dhesi here on Wednesday.
The Chief Minister congratulated Mr Dhesi, his family members and well wishers for him being appointed as Chairman of HERC.
The tenure of Mr Dhesi would be five years or upto the age of 65 years whichever is earlier. The Commission comprises of one Chairman and two members.
A 1982 batch senior IAS officer D S Dhesi would replace Mr Jagjeet Singh who has completed his tenure as HERC Chairman on August 12. Mr Dhesi has served on different important posts in the state and central government before he retired as Haryana Chief Secretary on June 30.

Jammu, Aug 10 (UNI) Jammu and Kashmir Government on Monday said that 470 new positive cases of novel coronavirus (102 from Jammu division and 368 from Kashmir division) have been reported, thus taking the total number of positive cases in Jammu and Kashmir to 25367.
