Khargone sizzles at 43 degrees

Pune, Apr 3 (UNI) Day temperatures were appreciably above normal in some parts of Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura and Kerala and above normal in some parts of Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim, Odisha, Konkan and Goa, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and coastal Karnataka.
Day temperatures were markedly below normal in some parts of Himachal Pradesh and below normal in some parts of Assam and Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab, Jammu & Kashmir, Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh. They were normal over rest parts of the region. The highest maximum temperature of 43 degree Celsius was recorded at Khargone in west Madhya Pradesh.
Rain or thundershowers were observed in the last 24 hours at a few places over Jammu, Kashmir, Ladakh, Baltistan and Muzaffarabad, Himachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura and Arunachal Pradesh and at isolated places over Uttarakhand, West Bengal and Sikkim, Odisha, Assam, Meghalaya and Telangana.
Thunderstorms were observed at isolated places over Himachal Pradesh, Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Assam and Meghalaya.

Thunderstorm accompanied with lightning, hail and gusty winds (speed reaching 30-40 kmph) likely at isolated places over Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura; with lightning at isolated places over Marathwada, Vidarbha, south Chhattisgarh, Odisha, Gangetic West Bengal, coastal Andhra Pradesh and Yanam during the next 24 hours.

Rain have occurred at most places in Arunachal Pradesh and at many places in Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura and at a few places in Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim and Jammu and Kashmir and at isolated places in Assam and Meghalaya, Gangetic West Bengal, Odisha, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Telangana. Mainly dry weather has prevailed in Jharkhand, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Gujarat state, Konkan and Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathawada, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Rayalaseema, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka state and Kerala.

Cop held for taking bribe
