Kharge hits back at BJP on Bengaluru airport namaz controversy

Bengaluru, Nov 10 (UNI) Karnataka Minister Priyank Kharge on Monday hit back at the BJP over the controversy surrounding a viral video showing people offering Namaz at the Kempegowda International Airport.
“Look, the airport has prayer rooms for all religions. If anyone wants to pray, they can do so there,” Kharge said while addressing media, stressing that there is no need to conduct religious activities in public areas.
Kharge pointed out that the Karnataka government had issued an order restricting religious activities in public spaces. “Now, the Karnataka government issued an order stating that such activities should not take place in public spaces, right? So, who went to court seeking a stay? It was the BJP, RSS, and their affiliates, wasn’t it? Why did they go for a stay? If they are so concerned, let them withdraw the case,” he added.
