Kharge alleges EC helping BJP as RSS conclave begins in Belagavi

Belagavi, July 10 (UNI) Karnataka Minister Priyank Kharge on Friday sharpened the Congress government's offensive against the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) and the Election Commission, choosing the opening day of the Sangh's annual All India Pracharaks' meeting here to accuse the poll body of acting to benefit the BJP and challenge the RSS on issues of transparency.
As senior RSS leaders, including Sarsanghchalak Mohan Bhagwat, gathered in Belagavi for the three-day conclave, Kharge said the organisation was free to hold its internal deliberations but should function with greater transparency.
Referring to the recent alleged theft of offerings from the Ram temple, he questioned the RSS' silence over the incident and said the organisation should publicly explain its role instead of remaining silent until after the theft came to light.
