New Delhi, Jan 25 (UNI) Left-arm speedster Khaleel Ahmed on Saturday was ruled out of India A tour of New Zealand after wrist injury.
"Khaleel Ahmed fractured the scaphoid bone in his left wrist during India A’s first one-day match against New Zealand A at Lincoln on January 22, the BCCI release stated.
"His hand has been placed in a plaster cast and the left-arm fast bowler has been ruled out of the remainder of India A's tour. NCA will manage his rehabilitation," it further said.
However, the BCCI is yet to name the replacement for the pacer.
Khaleel has represented India in 11 ODIs and 14 T20 internationals, claimed 6 wickets in the two matches in New Zealand.
Currently India A are on New Zealand tour for three-match unofficial ODI series and two Tests.
The series is levelled at 1-1 as India won the first by five wickets while was defeated in the second by 29 runs.
The decider will take place on Sunday.
