Keylong records coldest with 4 6 degree C

Shimla, Oct 7 (UNI) Headquarters of Lahaul Spiti district on Saturdaywas coldest in the state as minimum
temperature dropped by one degree in last 24 hours and settled 4.6 degree Celsius for first time in this season.

Minimum temperature recorded in Kalpa of Kinnuar and Tourist Manali in Kullu was 7.6 degree Celsius each, Bhuntar 12.4 degrees, Solan 13.4 degrees, Chamba 13.7 degrees, Shimla and Palampur 14.5 degree each, Sundernagar 15 degrees, Dharmshala, Kangra and Mandi 16 degrees C.


Tourist resort Dalhousie registered 16.4 degrees, Bilaspur 17 degrees, Nahan in Sirmaur and Hamirpur 17. 5 degrees and Una 18.5 degrees C.


There were light western disturbances in the sky, however, weather would continue to be mainly dry, Met Office forecast said.

Chennai, Jul 23 (UNI) Opposition DMK on Monday submitted a memorandum to Tamil Nadu Governor Banwarilal Purohit demanding a CBI probe into the corruption charges allegedly against Ministers and a probe into the criminal misconduct of Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami for awarding highway contracts to the tune of Rs 3,120 crore to companies owned by his close relatives.
