Kerala women's commission registers suo motu case against CPI(M) MLA

Thiruvananthapuram, Feb 11 (UNI) The Kerala Womens Commission on Monday registered a case against CPI(M) legislator S Rajendran for his remarks against a woman IAS Officer.
The Commission has registered a suo motu case against S Rajendran, MLA on media reports that the legislator made abusive comments against Devikulam Sub-Collector Renu Raj, said the Commission's chairperson M C Josephine in a statement here.
The MLA talked in a derogatory manner the other day after the young IAS officer tried to stop an unauthorised construction in the tourist town of Munnar in Idukki district where the Kerala High Court had in a judgement said for any new construction, a no-objection certificate had to be obtained.
