Kerala targets to create 95,000 new jobs, minimum 50,000 this year: CM

Thiruvananthapuram, Oct 1 (UNI) Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan on Thursday announced that the government targets to create 95,000 new jobs in the State to address the large scale unemployment situation due to the Covid pandemic.
“The financial crisis arising out of the pandemic has created alarming unemployment in the State and to address this, an integrated plan will be implemented to create new jobs. 50,000 jobs were announced earlier in the non-agricultural sector as part of the 100 days 100 programme," the CM said while addressing a press conference here this evening.
"A detailed document has been prepared on the areas in which these agencies are at the forefront of employment. Now the target is 95,000 jobs out of which at least 50,000 jobs are guaranteed to be created by December. The detailed figures and the addresses of the recruits will be published every two weeks on a special portal to be launched for this purpose,"
