State Home Minister Ramesh Chennithala wrote to Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh and Minister of State in Prime Minister's Office (PMO) Jitendra Singh seeking a CBI probe into the case in which a court had sentenced eleven persons, including three local CPI(M) leaders to life imprisonment. The fresh demand came in the wake of allegation by Ms K K Rama, wife of the late RMP leader, that the government was deliberately delaying the process to save some CPI(M) leaders.
