Kerala reports 8,909 fresh COVID cases, 65 deaths

Thiruvananthapuram, Oct 23 (UNI) Kerala reported 8,909 fresh COVID positive cases and 65 deaths on Saturday showing no respite from rising number of COVID cases and deaths in the State.
About 8,780 people have recovered from the disease today, a press release from the health department said this evening.
"Meanwhile, 65 recent deaths were confirmed due to COVID today. Another 257 deaths having no proper records were added to the COVID death list based on the Centre's guidelines. About 142 deaths were also added to the list based on appeal seeking its inclusion in the list taking the death toll in the state to 28,229," the release added.
