Kerala reports 608 new COVID cases, 181 recoveries, 4,454 patients under treatment: CM

Thiruvananthapuram, Jul 14 (UNI) Kerala reported 608 new active cases of COVID-19 on Tuesday while 181 patients have recovered and total 4,454 infected people are under treatment in various districts, Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan said this evening.
Addressing a press conference here, the Chief Minister also condoled the death of Nazeer, a 47 year old from Alappuzha district who had come back from abroad.
"Currently 1,81,847 people are under surveillance in various districts of the state. Of this, 1,77,067 are under observation in home or institutional quarantine and 4,780 are isolated in hospitals. 720 persons were hospitalised today," the CM said.
