Kerala reports 5,405 fresh COVID cases, 96 deaths

Thiruvananthapuram, Dec 1 (UNI) Kerala reported 5,405 fresh COVID positive cases and 96 deaths on Wednesday showing no respite from rising number of COVID cases in the State.
About 4,538 people have recovered from the disease today, a press release from the health department said this evening.
"Meanwhile, 96 recent deaths were confirmed due to COVID today. About 307 deaths were also added to the list based on appeals seeking its inclusion in the list taking the death toll in the state to 40,535," the release added.
