Thiruvananthapuram, Jul 5 (UNI) Kerala reported 225 new active cases of COVID-19 on Sunday while 126 patients have recovered and total 2,228 infected people are under treatment in various districts, Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan said.
"A total of 1,80,939 people are currently under surveillance in various districts of the state. 1,77,995 are under observation at their homes or institutional quarantine centres and 2,944 are isolated in hospitals. 377 people were admitted to hospitals today," the Chief Minister said while addressing a press conference at the Government Secretariat this evening.
He said "29 persons in Palakkad district, 28 in Kasargod district, 27 in Thiruvananthapuram district, 26 in Malappuram district, 25 in Kannur district, 20 in Kozhikode district, 13 in Alappuzha district, 12 each in Ernakulam and Thrissur districts, 10 in Kollam district, eight in Kottayam district, six each in Idukki and Wayanad districts, and three in Pathanamthitta district are those who tested positive for Coronavirus today."
