Kerala Mujahid factions to formally unite after 14 years break

Kozhikode, Dec 17 (UNI) After a 14 years hiatus, two major Mujahid factions in Kerala will formally unite at a mega congregation to be witnessed by, among others, top leaders of different political entities and representatives from social cultural arenas in the state at Kozhikode beach on December 20.
Announcing details of the merger, 'maha sammelan' leaders M Mohammed Madani, A Asgarali and Media Convener Nizar Olavanna said besides them, large section of people from across the state would participate in the meet beginning at 1630 hrs.
The unification meet assumes significance as the two factions -- Kerala Nadavathul Majahidin and the breakaway faction of KNM (Markazu-DHAVA) -- led by T P Abdullakoya Madani and Hussain Madavur respectively -- are coming together after burying the hatchet after 14 years, they said.
