Kerala Govt to table solar report in Assembly on Nov 9

Thiruvananthapuram, Oct 19 (UNI) Kerala Cabinet on Thursday decided to recommend to the Governor to convene the next Assembly session from November nine to table the controversial Solar Commission Report and the Action Taken Report in the House.
The Cabinet also decided to seek a legal opinion from a Supreme Court judge over various aspects of the Terms of References mentioned in the solar case. The Cabinet decision was in the wake of the Congress-led Opposition's demand to place the report before the Assembly immediately.
Many senior Congress leaders alleged that the Commission mentioned several points which were not coming under the Terms of References. After the submission of the report to the Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan by Justice G Sivarajan a few days ago, the Government directed to file cases against 12 people including former Chief Minister Oommen Chandy, a few senior Congress leaders and several ministers in the previous Congress-led UDF Government.
