Kasaragod, Sep 22 (UNI) BJP Kerala Unit President K Surendran has alleged that the state government and police have been protecting Manjeswaram IUML MLA M C Kamaruddin, the prime accused in the multi-crore investor scam.
Addressing the media here on Tuesday, the BJP leader said the MLA and his aides had cheated hundreds of investors who had deposited their money in the Jewellery group headed by Kamaruddin.
It is biggest ever deposit-related scam the state had ever witnessed, he said.
