Kerala CM terms Bishop's statement as 'unfortunate'

Thiruvananthapuram, Sep 22 (UNI) Terming the Pala Bishop's recent statement on 'love and narcotic jihad' as 'unfortunate', Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan on Wednesday said love marriages and usage of drugs should not be linked to a particular religion.
Rejecting the Opposition leader's demand to call an all-party meeting to discuss the matter, the Chief Minister said such a demand is absolutely irrelevant.
Calling upon the people to not fall prey to controversies, he said the allegations on religious conversion are baseless. Communal forces are trying to make political advantage from it, he added.
