Kerala Chief Secretary suggests creation of digital archive to safeguard IFFK’s heritage

Thiruvananthapuram, Dec 11 (UNI) Kerala Chief Secretary Dr. A. Jayathilak on Thursday underscored the urgent need to set up a digital archive to preserve the cultural legacy of the International Film Festival of Kerala (IFFK).
Inaugurating the Festival Office of the 30th edition of the festival at Tagore Theatre, Dr. Jayathilak said that a dedicated digital archive is essential to safeguard the history and creative journey of Kerala’s premier film festival for the benefit of future generations.
Digitising past festival catalogues and making them available online would be a valuable resource for cinephiles, students and researchers, he said, urging the Kerala State Chalachitra Academy to take the initiative.
