Kerala bypoll: Jacobites faction extends support to LDF

Kochi, Sep 22 (UNI) The Jacobites faction of the Christian community has decided to support LDF candidate in the by-election claiming that the Left Government always support the section in a justifiable way.

The representatives of Jacobites extended the support at a time when the government announced by-election in six Assembly constituencies, Jacobites Media cell chairman Dr Kuriakose Mar Theophalise told reporters here on Sunday.

Except Pala where by-election is on Monday, the rest five constituencies polling will be held on October 21.

The LDF government also intervened in the affairs of Jacobites for settling the dispute with Orthodox faction.

To a question, he said UDF is not against us, but when a dispute crops up LDF helped settling the issue amicably.

Hyderabad, Dec 7 (UNI) In tune with the instruction given by Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao to Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) interim Managing Director Sunil Sharma, during a meeting held with employees of the Corporation at Pragati Bhavan on October 1, TSRTC had provided employment to 33 eligible children of deceased employees who had died during the 52-day strike period.
