Kerala based NGO nominated for 'Social Media Empowerment' Award

Kollam, May 8 (UNI) The 5th annual Social Media for Empowerment-2018 awards by 'Digital Empowerment Foundation' will be presented on May 25 at New Delhi.
Kerala based NGO 'One Library Per Village' is nominated for Crowdsourcing and Crowd Economy category along with other six contestants including Yes Bank, the better India, etc, from 60 participants from eight SAARC countries.
Social Media for Empowerment award honours the organization that work towards development and change across South Asia. Over 180 nominees from India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Nepal were considered for the awards in eight categories. The awards was decided by a jury consisting of social media influencers, journalists, technocrats, and leading IT professionals.
