Kerala Assembly adjourned over corruption in KIIFB

Thiruvananthapuram, Nov 12 (UNI) Kerala Assembly was adjourned for the day after the Opposition Congress-led UDF members disrupted the proceedings in protest against denial of an adjournment motion over corruption in the Kerala Infrastructure Investment Fund Board (KIIFB) and the Kannur International Airport Limited (KIAL).
Seeking the Leave of the House to move the adjournment motion seeking discussion on the issue, Congress member VD Satheesan said the Government was denying the CAG attempt to examine the accounts of KIAL and KIIFB.
In his reply, Finance Minister Dr Thomas Isaac said the Opposition was deliberately creating an impression that the Government was against the CAG. The Government has nothing to hide and it is open to any kind of auditing by any competent authority.
