New Delhi, Aug 18 (UNI) Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Sunday visited AIIMS, where an inferno had broken out in the first and second floor of the building next to the emergency block of the Hospital, leading to shifting of patients and destroying of samples and medical reports.
Taking to socio-microblogging site Twitter, Mr Kejriwal posted, 'Visited AIIMS where fire incident took place yesterday. Fortunately, no life lost due to swift action taken by AIIMS authorities. Delhi Fire Service personnel worked hard to bring fire under control. Investigations going on to ascertain reasons of fire.'
A major fire broke out in AIIMS on Saturday evening, but there were no casualties, fire officials said.
Fire fighters and security staff with the AIIMS staff shifted patients from the wards near to the spot to the other block.
More than 30 fire tenders were on the spot, to fight the blaze.
The building does not have patient wards, but houses labs and doctor rooms.
