Kejriwal holds roadshows; says AAP drawing strength from people's enthusiasm

New Delhi, Jan 23 (UNI) Delhi Chief Minister and AAP national convenor Arvind Kejriwal who held a roadshow in Kalkaji on Thursday in support of party's candidate Atishi said the AAP is drawing strength from the enthusiasm of the people for the party.

'Mass gathering in Kalkaji assembly. We get strength by seeing so much enthusiasm for the Aam Aadmi Party among the people,' Mr Kejriwal said in a tweet.

Earlier, during the day, Mr Kejriwal held roadshows in three Assembly Constituencies--Matiala, Uttam Nagar and Vikaspuri in support of the party candidates from these seats.

The AAP has fielded Gulab Singh Yadav from Matiala, Naresh Balyan from Uttam Nagar and Mahinder Yadav from Vikaspuri.

Mr Kejriwal, during the roadshows, was accompanied by the party candidates who are contesting from the Matiala, Uttam Nagar and Vikaspuri Assembly seats.

'Directly met people of Matiala, Uttam Nagar and Vikaspuri this morning. The atmosphere was very electrifying,' Mr Kejriwal said in a tweet.

Large number of Aam Aadmi Party supporters gathered today in the Assembly constituencies where Mr Kejriwal held the roadshows.

At the roadshow, the party supporters were carrying placards supporting the schemes started by the AAP government during the last five years.

'Vote for electricity,' one of the placard read.

Mr Kejriwal held a roadshow in Badli and Adarsh Nagar constituencies on Wednesday.

The Delhi elections are scheduled to be held on February 8. The counting of votes will take place on February 11.

The Delhi Assembly Election 2020 will witness a triangular contest between AAP, BJP and Congress.
