Kejriwal directs PWD to procure 1.5 lakh more CCTV cameras

New Delhi, Jul 15 (UNI) Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Monday directed the Public Works Department (PWD) to expedite the process for procurement of 1.5 lakh more CCTVs, for installation in residential areas across Delhi.
The direction was given by the Chief Minister, in the meeting to review the progress of ongoing installation of CCTVs in residential areas project, which was attended by PWD Minister Satyendra Jain, Chief Secretary Vijay Dev and all senior officers of PWD.
The Chief Minister directed the department to expedite the process on an urgent basis and seek necessary approvals, to bring the matter to the Cabinet at the earliest, so that a total of nearly three lakh CCTVs can be installed in residential areas.
