New Delhi, Jan 25 (UNI) Criticising Union Home Minister and BJP leader Amit Shah for his comments on Delhi’s education model, AAP national convener and Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Saturday said that Mr Shah is insulting the hard work of the students, their parents and their teachers through such comments.
Addressing a press conference at the party headquarters here, Mr Kejriwal said, 'We have been witnessing objectionable comments since two-three days from Mr Amit Shah on the education model in Delhi. We have been in favour of education being an important part of the political system. People should cast their votes on the basis of whether a government has worked towards improving education in schools and school infrastructure for the children. This will take the country forward. But there should be no dirty politics on schools and education.'
'The claims of our Union Home Minister about the faults in Delhi’s education system and schools are false. Our model of education is lauded not only across the nation, but across the entire world. A good education system will take the country forward. Involving education in dirty politics and making false allegations in the name of education is not justified,' he said.
