New Delhi, Sep 12 (UNI) A day after the Haryana government announced to reduce the power tariff for domestic consumers, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) convenor Arvind Kejriwal on Wednesday demanded that the electricity should be made as cheap as in the state like Delhi.
Taking to micro-blogging site, Twitter, the Delhi Chief Minister said, “Khattar sahib has reduced electricity price in Haryana but it (reduction) is insufficient. Electricity in Haryana too should be made as cheap as in Delhi .”
Claiming that in most of the villages of Haryana there is shortage of supply of electricity, Mr Kejriwal demanded Khattar government to provide 24 hours power supply in each village of the state.
On Tuesday, Haryana Chief Minister announced to reduce the power tariff for domestic consumers.
According to the new tariff, on monthly consumption of upto 200 units Rs 2.50 will be charged per unit as compared to earlier Rs 4.50.
It may be mentioned that the AAP is gearing up to contest the upcoming 2019 Assembly polls in the state.
