KC had consensus on panchayat president's post: Augusthy

Kottayam, Jul 1 (UNI) Senior Kerala Congress (M) leader and former party district president E J Augusthy on Wednesday dismissed KC (M) leader Jose K Mani's claims that there was no consensus over the post of district panchayat president.
Augusthy said that KC leaders had informed him that the party reached a consensus over the president's post. He got the information from the leaders of KC and Congress after the meeting at Thiruvananthapuram.
Augusthy, a loyalist of KC (M) leader late K M Mani, served as UDF Kottayam district chairman for 25 years. As an experienced politician, he alerted Mani faction, it is very difficult for a political party to survive without joining any front.
