Kavlekar wishes Goans on 75th Liberation Day

Panaji, Dec 18 (UNI) Leader of Opposition in the Goa Legislative Assembly Chandrakant 'Babu' Kavlekar on Tuesday extended his best wishes to the people of Goa on the eve of 75th Liberation Day.
In a message, he said,''I feel privileged and proud to witness by joining all Indians especially our Goan brothers and sisters as the state of Goa celebrating 75th year of liberation day. I thank the then Congress Ruled Government of India with Pt Jawaharlal Nehru as Prime Minister, for swiftly acting and liberating Goa from the foreign rule of a country of 450 years in spite of tremendous global pressure on Portugal being a founder NATO member.''
Mr Kavlekar said as a citizen of India, the people of Goa as well as state of Goa had excelled phenomenally and made rapid development in all fields especially education, health, art and culture, sports, industries etc as well as infrastructure and social justice and welfare without compromising unique identity as 'Goenkar'.
