Kashmir: Dozens of remote areas remain cutoff; fresh snowfall hampers road opening work

Srinagar, Jan 21 (UNI) Dozens of far-flung and remote areas, including those near the Line of Control (LoC), continued to remain cut off for the 12th day on Monday from their respective districts and tehsil headquarters in north Kashmir, where fresh snowfall during the last 48 hours hampered the snow clearance operation.
Meanwhile, traffic on Kupwara to Karnah, a border town in north Kashmir, road remained suspended since Saturday due to moderate snowfall. The Kupwara-Karnah road was reopened on Thursday evening after remaining closed for a week due to heavy snowfall.
