Karnataka to unveil drinking project

Hubballi, Sep 29 (UNI) Karnataka Minister for Major and Medium Industries Jagadish Shettar had announced that a Rupees 1041.80 Cr project for providing Drinking water to all Villages in Dharwad district from the Malaprabha river.
He said today that a decision has been taken at a meeting of the members of state legislative assembly, legislative council and representative of the members of the Zilla Panchayat from the district.
Talking to newsmen Mr. Shettar said that of the Rupees 1041.80 Crores, an amount of Rs.900.46 Crores would be spent on the implementation of the project, while the remaining Rs. 141.00 Crores will be used for maintenance work of the project for a period of Five years.
