Karnataka to open Pre-Primary Classes in Government Schools

Bengaluru, June 12 (UNI) The Karnataka Government has decided to open Pre-Primary Classes in Government Schools from this academic year, fulfilling a long pending demand of parents.
Primary and Middle School Education Department Chief Secretary Shalini Rajnish said on Tuesday that to begin with KG, LKG class will be opened in 101 Schools. "With this move it is expected that the enrolment in to First Standard will increase in Government Schools," she added.
She said that the move was taken as there were more demand by the parents. School Managements and Administration Boards have also shown keen interest and agreed to bear the additional expenditure including Salary to the Teachers appointed for running Pre-Primary Classes. It has been decided to recruit One teacher to each Schools for Pre-Primary class. Curicula and syllabus are already prepared.
