Bengaluru, Sep 17 (UNI) The Karnataka Government, which facing criticism for failure of NDA government not announcing a major relief due to unprecedented flood and rain havoc during this monsoon season in the State, has scaled down the total loss from Rs 38,000 crore to Rs 35,000 crores.
Speaking to newsmen, the Revenue minister R Ashok said that “the revised estimated loss in the recent rains and floods has been pruned a little, and a detailed report will be submitted to the Center in a day or two”.
He said that under the guidelines the loss sustained to private hospitals and educational institutions, could not be included in the loss estimate, and hence it had resulted in slashing the estimated loss.
