Karnataka Police seize fake notes valued at Rs 1.04 lakh in Tumakuru, arrest four persons including a woman

Bengaluru, Mar 19 (UNI) Karnataka police after getting a tip-off from NIA arrested four persons and seized fake Indian currency of face value of Rs 1.04 lakhs at Tumakuru in Karnataka on March 18.
Police said on Tuesday that, acting on a tip-off, apprehended three persons identified as Tammayya Honnappa (42) a resident of Kaduru Taluk in Chikkamagaluru district, Afroze (44) hailing from Azadhnagar, Gauribidanur in Chikkaballapura district and Maruthi (37) resident of Hulikunte Village, Koratagere Taluk in Tumakuru district. They were found in possession of 52 fake Indian currency notes all in the denomination of Rs. 2000 and one fake note in the denomination of Rs. 500, collectively having face value of
Rs 1,04,500.
