Karnataka: Police nabs bootlegger with Rs 6 lakh worth country made liquor

Belagavi, Jul 12 (UNI) District Crime Branch police have nabbed a 34-year-old bootlegger and seized 173 boxes of Goa manufactured liquor bottles worth about Rs 6,22,300 being illegally transported to Nipani from Goa in Yamakanamardi police station limits on Saturday evening, police said on Sunday.
On getting definite information a Canter was intercepted near Managutti cross on NH-4 and liquor bottles seized. The vehicle used for the crime was also seized and Shakeel Kasimsab Shek was arrested in this connection.
Yamakanamardi police have registered a case and have initiated an investigation.

Need to strengthen health sector in view of Covid crisis : Telangana Minister

Hyderabad, Aug 9 (UNI): Telangana Minister for IT , K.T.Rama Rao on Sunday
stated that there is a need to strengthen the health sector in view of the COVID crisis as it is a world-wide requirement.
Responding on Twitter with the hashtag #AskKTR. Mr Rao said that action had already been taken against private hospitals which were charging exorbitantly for corona treatment. If needed, more stringent measures would be taken.
