Karnataka leaders remember Fali's contributions in Cauvery row

Bengaluru, Feb 21 (UNI) Paying their condolences, Karnataka political leaders recalled jurist and advocate Fali S Nariman's role as the state’s pre-eminent legal consultant on the Cauvery water dispute and credited him with ensuring justice.
Former Prime Minister HD Deve Gowda remembered Nariman as a friend. "I am very saddened and disturbed that my friend of 50 years, eminent jurist, Fali Nariman, has passed away. He was not just my friend, he was a great friend of Karnataka and a proud son of India. I offer my deepest condolences," he wrote on social media.
Gowda has played a pivotal role in his bid to settle the Cauvery dispute for decades.
