Karnataka: Govt announces Rs 6 lakh compensation to each of the fishermen family died

Mangaluru, Dec 2 (UNI) The Karnataka government has released a compensation of Rs 6 lakh each to the families of the fishermen who lost their lives in the Shree Raksha fishing boat tragedy.
Minister for Fisheries Kota Srinivasa Poojary, who is also Dakshina Kannada District Incharge Minister, in a tweet said the amount has been released as per the direction of the Chief Minister and that he would strive to release more compensation.
The Minister on Wednesday visited the mortuary of the Wenlock Hospital where the bodies of the four fishermen recovered are kept.
