Bengaluru, June 27(UNI) The Karnataka Government is contemplating to ban construction of Apartments in the City for next five years due to severe shortage of drinking water faced, Deputy Chief Minister Dr G Parameshwara said today.
Speaking to newsmen here at his residence on Thursday, Dr Parameshwara alleged that the builders are selling the apartments without ensuring basic infrastructure including supply of drinking water. Most of the those staying in apartments are using water supplied through Tankers and they are suffering from skin diseases. Hence it was contemplated to ban construction of apartments in the City.
However, a final decision will be taken after having discussion with Builders, he added.
