Karnataka: Cong govt hints at textbook revision

Bengaluru, May 30 (UNI) It appears that the Congress government has plans up its sleeves to revise school textbooks introduced by the previous BJP government.
"Our election manifesto clearly states that textbook revision will take place in the interest of the students' future," Primary and Secondary Education Minister Madhu Bangarappa told reporters.
Bangarappa, who was also vice president of Congress party's election manifesto committee, said the Congress government does not want the minds of students to get "polluted" by saffron education. "We don't want the students' minds to get polluted," he said.
